I'm sure we miss you and your wonderful contributions to the community.

Didn't you have an unusual set of circumstances?

There's not a company or a place of employment anywhere in the world that has 100% A++ employees across the board.

Just sayin'

Sounds like you're the uppity one, city slicker.

Being from the country, I like backwoods small towns.

When I was working I always worked within 15 minutes of home. Live near LSU and worked either downtown or no further than Bluebonnet and I-10.

So that qualifies you to speak about the commute times to and from Denham?

Ok

I live in Watson and work downtown. I'm from BR. I've been in Watson for 4 years and still haven't adjusted to the rednecks. The amount of rebel flags flying on the back of jacked up trucks is astounding.

My biggest pet peeve, along with traffic, is having to say I'm from Watson. I miss being able to say I live in Baton Rouge.

Also, know where your friends live. If you get drinks with your friends regularly, realize you will have a 45 minute drive back to your house if you are getting drinks anywhere other than a daiquiri shop on Denham.

After 8 years, my home in Denham is worth less than I paid.

It was a mistake to buy where and when I did

I'm ready to move on to a nicer home but still holding out so I can at least break even where I'm at.

I bought in a new neighborhood and for some reason the houses there have not appreciated at all

Main reason is the poor lending and the tax credits put more people in houses that they couldn't afford at the time.

It's turning around, but it always drops a lot faster than rises

I think young adults from Denham compared to raising your kids there today is a good bit different

They have seen a huge influx of people in the past 10+ years so it's not comparing apples to apples

I will say there are some very nice homes north of denham going up left and right. I guess if your parents can afford them, you have a chance in life
