Metal. Leather starts stinking.

Strap vs bracelet...bracelet is way too jewelryish and try hard to me.
The best watches in the world are on straps, good enough for me.
Deployant clasping is mandatory though.

And this is exactly why you wear a metal band during the day and a leather band at night.
Sometimes I think that I have to have "#The Class Hour," with uncle Net, weekday evenings from 630 to 730, so you nerds don't sleaze the joint up over the weekends.

I wear leather, alligator and rubber watch straps. Not into metal watch bands.

I vary based upon mood. For my main watch I have a stainless oyster bracelet, a couple nylon NATO/Zulu, and an ostrich skin strap. I used to favor the nylon, but I tend to wear the bracelet more now. I like the weight of it.

Leather watch straps are loaded with chemicals from the tanning process that are not good for the skin

What is the best brand of leather watch for the buck? Something in the $200-$500 range?

Depends on my mood and where I'm going and what impression I want to make.
