Trust me. This is not about saving face. Koreans are great at shaming and those being shamed really do feel it. Completely different culture from here

I live in Korea. I'm aware of the differences in Korean culture ad American culture. I stand by what I said. So much is about saving face and very little is about true personal responsibility.

Well I am Korean and I think youre only partially right. Sure it's to save face. But that's the secondary reason.
