Why are people so fricking retarded? I keep hitting my head on this wall but I'm getting headaches. How can I reduce my headaches?
Calm it down there Broke. I'm in the last stages of training, injuries and soreness aren't uncommon. I'm just trying to keep myself as healthy as possible while making sure I cross the finish line.

Why wait until the funeral? Just come out to the marathon and yell it whenever I fall over dead in the middle of the street.

Negative on the shoes though. I just bought a new pair at the end of December.
I had this same issue a few years ago. Just because the shoes are fairly new doesn't mean they aren't the culprit. Did you get fitted by a shoe store? They are able to watch you walk and run and tell you exactly which shoes are the right fit. If you are an overpronator, you need a specific kind. It is likely as simple as that. This resolved my problem.

Interesting. I'll have to look into this.
I went to Varsity and had them check me out. I ended up getting a pair of Brooks Ghost 7s, which was an upgrade from my pair of Brooks Ghost 4s. Never had issues with the 4s so I just assumed that the 7s would be good to go.

Seriously, try the sleeves, ice it up, and just get through the next couple of weeks, then plan on resting up. Only thing that will make it better.

Advil.
If you have knee pain you are heel striking and not midfoot striking.

Appreciate it. This plus Advil as posted above will be my course of action. Just have to get through April 20th and then I can give my body as much rest as it needs and then some.

Wrong
The human body was specifically designed for long distance running.

He's only saying that isn't because he can't do it.
Like when I say the human body wasn't built to last more than 2 minutes in bed.

God built humans
God made animals
Animals were made to feed and give humans rides to places and shite.

If I ran on a track for 23 miles, I would kill myself.
As for OP, RICE. Rest, ice, compression, elevate. Foam roll the IT band too?

Great advice here thanks.
I don't personally have a foam roll or IT band but whenever I go to the gym in the evenings I can use theirs. I hadn't thought about that honestly.
I like the "elevation" part. I'll have an excuse when I get home to kick my feet up and do nothing.

What part of your knee?
I'm not quite sure how to describe where on my knee it is. It's directly below the kneecap, essentially at the joint. I'm far from being a doctor.

He's telling you to foam roll your IT band. Everyone has an IT band. Tight IT bands can lead to knee pain.

I'm an idiot I was thinking about the bands that people use to stretch or assist for pullups.
