My dad bought me a pellet gun from K-Mart back in the 90's. It didn't work.

Haven't seen KMart with a working food area since the 80's. The food area at the KMart on the Westbank, that just closed, shut down in the 90's I believe.

Kmart in New Zealand isn't bad at all. You'll find them in malls like any other department store (Pennys, Macys, etc).

Yeah it closed about the time the auto service part closed. I used to get my oil changed there when I was too lazy to do it myself Bc there was never a wait.

Gonzales has one. Doesn't Harahan have one too?

Edit: I mean K-Marts, no K-Marts with food courts.

Did you ever work the Blue Light Special cart? I remember my mom would go nuts anytime they came over the PA to announce they were running a blue light special in once department or another.

Wait, I thought you had no memory of your mother.

I was raised by my maternal gandmother who we called "momma".

Now I see what's happened here. I grew up calling my grandmother "mom" and that's somehow blown some folk's minds here. Sorry if it's a bit confusing to you. But seeing how my grandmother is the only mother I ever knew, growing up calling her "mom" or "momma" came perfectly normal to me.

Yes, it's completely normal, with her having raised you

Festus just pointed out that you've always referred to her as your grandmother and not mom

Just saw my first Kmart (that was open) today in Clearwater on my way back from vacation

That bluelight special was quite the spectacle in it's hay day.

Well I try to remember to call her grandmother when I'm on here because I understand it can get confusing. But sometimes I forget and call her "mom" or "momma" out of habit.

For future reference, if I say anything other than "mother", I'm probably actually talking about my grandmother.
