The police's goal was to have a reason to arrest homeless persons to get them off the streets. Even a blind hog could see that was entrapment and the courts stopped it.

He started at BRPD before they started hiring any idiot with a breath and when they maintained order in the streets. He knows how to be a cop and will likely restore it to its glory days if Broome allows.
One of BRPD's biggest issues right now is there are fewer and fewer guys like TJ and more new cops who aren't qualified to work at Jack in the Box, much less in a position to take away your freedom. If TJ gets BRPD back on track, this city may have a fighting chance.

Ironically, I think he got the job partially because he is White. He's White and qualified.
Broome is running for re-election and she had to get rid of MP because he was too much baggage for her with the White voters. So she did.
Now she has a White guy running the operation. And he is certainly qualified. But now Broome has nine months or whatever until the primary to try and get some White voters back in her corner and not go with whomever will be running against her.
If he does a great job, which we all hope, she looks good-relatively speaking. And should things go south because she won't let the Chief run the department the way it should be, then she says she gave Whitey a chance, but it just didn't work through no fault of hers.
Should Chief Morse be able to run the department and start cleaning up the streets, and it brings four more years of Broome, then I just guess that is what we will have.
I wish him nothing but the best.

Entrapment is a stupid excuse for people being criminals. I don’t care that the car was unlocked with keys in the ignition and beer in the front. If they stole the beer, they committed a crime. If they stole the car, they committed a crime. The beer didn’t steal itself nor did the car, nor did anyone force them to. They used their own free will to do a criminal activity, and they should be punished accordingly

Exectly what I think her motivation was. Remove any significant opposition to her reelection.

Thanks man.
Everyone eventually gets a trophy around here. Promotion was not to a rank as high as Chief, but I still like it in the trenches. I think I still have a few years left in my prime to do some more of the heavy lifting that comes with crime fighting.
80% certain we’ve worked cases together based on some of the info I know about you.
