Not too outlandish to be bitching about seemingly meaningless things on TD, IMO. One of the purposes of the OT.

Yeah but kindergarten? Really? Did you fail kindergarten and now have this personal spite and bitterness to the kindergarteners who wear the cap and gown? I'd be mad too.

Serious question. Do they have graduations for every grade up to high school these days?

No they don't do it for every grade. I didn't have one until high school.

My chitlins are still young but it was only kindergarten and then high school for me. Guess it depends on the school. Those damn kindergarteners and their precious little graduation.

We just wore our church clothes in 1972. I did lead the pledge, though.

Obviously you're being a smart arse but it's hardly an accomplishment when virtually any functioning member of society has done it.

It's not like they're putting it on their fricking resume dude

it's supposed to be fun

Unfortunately for you, this thread didn't turn out the way you anticipated

I live for up votes and down votes on TD and unanimous support for threads. It's important.

I have seen people posting stuff on facebook about graduations for other grades. I had personally never heard of graduation for anything other than high school and college until about five years ago.

Those years in a child's life are an impressionable and important time for cognitive function. If positive reinforcement is used for graduating from the first expierience in a school year, hopefully it leaves an impression or footprint to follow later on in life with highschool, college etc.

I had one in 1977 and I still remember it. Mostly, because we had to do some routine to Debby Boone's "You Light Up My Life" and I knew at 6 years old, that it was completely retarded.

So you're complaining about this being a downfall of society and a generational issue, when it was likely done before you were even born?
