Dude, it was just a harmless joke but that's fricking low. I RA'd and hope you get perma banned. There's certain jokes that are too serious to make, you crossed the line.

I hope you never borrow anyone's videos or go elsewhere to watch someone's paid for cable.. That's just so wrong you would leach a watch off someone else's paid content.

I don't agree with people making profit off of other material.. but it's not exactly a crime to share material.

And yes, it's different from rape, even if you are are just being a POS joking.

Oh I couldn't agree more, some things are out of bounds. Like for instance, theories about mysterious fictional characters.

I used to buy cd's every week. The music got shitty, like most of it out now. So now I download to see if it's any good before I consider purchasing. If it's a good CD, then I will purchase it. Don't make 1 decent song and package it with 12 other tracks of shite

Baloney. You can listen on Spotify, which is legit. Answer honestly, after illegally downloading a CD, how often do you go out and buy it? How about movies? You just watch them once illegally to see if they are any good?

Honestly, I haven't bought many at all. Like I stated the music out is shite.

I don't stream any music. I may listen to something on you tube from time to time.

For Movies I watch on Netflix and Kodi, I don't torrent movies.

Now, I'm sure you are perfect, since you are calling me out. I have nothing to hide. I admitted my reason for downloading. My cable bill is rather high in my opinion, so I do pay for services. I'm not using someone's espn log in or streaming TV on kodi.

spotify pays .0007 or .0008 to the artists music it's streams. Wow ! Look at all that money.

Do you pay for spotify? Or do you use the free version?

I can honestly say that downloading a cd made me actually buy a band's album I had previously never heard before.

I wouldn't go that far. I'm grown up, too, but I still stream

I'm not calling you out at all. I just found the reasoning you gave to make little sense.

None of this matters because Spotify is a legitimately authorized music source. I use the free version and Pandora.

I dont have HBO. Torrenting GOT has me not missing a single episode plus I can rewatch them over and over. Its no different than when everyone was sharing cassettes and CDs.

I have an entire collection of CDs that are useless because I can download MP3 of every album I want.

1 virus from downloading a pc program. Movies or TV shows? 0

Like was said, it isn't nearly worth the extra effort to torrent stuff when streaming is so convenient. Spotify is like $9 a month and anything that isn't there I can probably find on youtube. The key to the entertainment industry combating piracy was to come up with a model that made it the less convenient option, and they pretty much have. Actually possessing media has become an anachronism.

The only kind of legit reason for torrent anymore is for the audiophile geeks who want lossless content, but most people don't give a frick about that anyway.

It's not the same. You should pay for HBO if you want to watch their content in your home and on your devices. If you want to go watch at a friend's house that does pay for HBO, then fine. The fact that you don't have to miss an episode of your favorite show does not mean you aren't stealing it. That sound pretty entitled.

I don't really give a frick what you're doing, but don't try and convince yourself that it's right.
