TPB is way more resilient than KAT

I had to switch. I used to use KAT but then ads, sign ups and virus BS killed it for me so I switched to TPB.

I would gladly pay for TV if I could pick 30 channels of my own choosing. I want ESPN, NFLN, ESPN2, ESPN classic, HBO, CINEMA, SHOTIME, and various others all for not more than $20 bucks a month. Im not asking for much. I dont want filler BS. I have Netflix for my kids but there is a ton of content that I cant get unless I spend $50 a month which is retarded since I dont watch much TV.

Until I get to pay for exactly what I want in HD, I will remain a pirate. I get everything I want to watch for free with live streams and torrents. I will get Kodi in the future.

Oh, so you mean bundling content actually does make it cheaper for the consumer huh?
Hey, I'd like to sell you a couple of TVs for $2,000 total. Oh, you only want one TV? Well, I'd LOVE to sell it to you, unfortunately I would have to charge you the same amount for just one TV, so you're better off taking them both! What a deal!

Nevermind that each TV is only worth $500 in a functional market. The cable market is broken. They have you (and many many people) convinced that bundling is cheaper, simply because they only offer alternatives to bundling at absurd prices.

Whatever you want is convenient and reasonably priced from one of the services.
Your argument would be valid if this were true, but it's not.

He said it isn't affecting their profits much, and that they are looking at ways to "affect" password sharing. He was being nice, but if it is no big deal, why does he say they are looking at how to curb the practice?

So that one article contains everything he has ever said about the issue?

Not really. What sets me off is the sense of entitlement shown when people say, "oh, they're ripping me off anyway so I am going to just take what I want" and then claim that they aren't doing anything wrong.

If people were like, "frick it, I steal that shite because I don't feel like paying", I'd probably not even respond.
I can't speak for everyone, but personally I do want to pay for what I want. And I want to do it without paying for shite I don't want. I spent months trying to find sources for everything my family likes, and not only is it complicated and impractical, but it's also expensive if you need to fill in shows that simply are not available without a cable subscription, or if you miss the relatively short viewing window for particular shows on certain streaming services.

Have you never thought about how many millions of hours of content that you've paid for that you will never have any desire to watch? What other product in this world forces you to buy so much extra shite? This industry writes its own laws and buys its own politicians to pass them. We are long overdue for a TV revolution, and revolutions rarely happen without "illegal" shite going down.

Sorry, I had to go to bed. I have a job to get up early for, so I can pay Internet to "steal" music every once in awhile.

So for the few who keep saying we are stealing or infringing, do you ever share your drink from a place that offers free refills ? If you do, then you are stealing beverage from that place. The cup you are given is for your consumption only.

Do you go to an all you can eat restaurant and "share" your items with your child or anyone else who did not pay for all you can eat? That is stealing of food.

Do you take pens home or any other office supplies from work and use off the job? You did not purchase those items, so that is stealing.

Depending on how you look at our society and the way "you" as a person perceive things, everyone steals, infringes, borrows,. You can call it what you want to make yourself feel better, but if you didn't specifically pay for it directly, you are no different.

I have no problem understanding what I am doing, if/ when I download a torrent, once every two months. I see the picture that has been painted over the last 15-20 years. Believe it or not, I have purchased between 250- 300 cd's. I'm 39 years old, and I am getting old and whether you would like to admit it or not, a lot of music is shite.

Where do you think the money comes from to mke shows like Game of Thrones, The Wire, Breaking Bad, etc?

FWIW I pay for HBO Go. I support the networks that don't force me to pay for crap like Oprah Winfrey Network, BET, and other moronic crap I refuse to watch.

You don't like Cox? Fine, go pay $40/month for Playstation VUE.

Vue offers packages just like cable companies, so what's your point again?

Something tells me you're not really on some crusade though, and really just want free content.

I would be willing to may slightly more for much less. The consumer's ability to force better content on air by voting with their pocketbook is being restricted by cable networks.

I think all entertainment networks will offer direct pay methods in 5-10 years.
