On the more sports board, when Adrian Foster offered money to a woman to have an abortion it was responded to in a negative manner.

When JJ Reddick succeed in paying a woman to have an abortion for him, he was called a pimp and smart.

This is a double standard. Would you disagree?

it's like satire doesn't exist in your mind. people joked about a crazy situation.

when rick pitino was, and still is, called a tPOS for his abortion scandal

show me all the negativity towards foster

looks like the same theme of hating the woman for sure

a few UTenn fans still being butthurt (they loathe foster)

so you're wrong. wrong as frick

I don't see a lot of reprimanding in this thread.

We defend and deflect because there is a long history of black people and minorites not receiving equal treatment or ounishment under the law, and cases where we were falsely accused, and subsequently murdered or imprisoned over things they didn't do. We still have many men being exonerated to this day. We have every reason to "get defensive" and be weary of a system that for most of our history, never gave us the benefit of the doubt or a fair shake.

Jesus christ, you've got some serious personal issues.

Really?

If true that is really bad, clearly, but what is the percentage of whites who are let off or have lesser sentences for the same crimes.

Feel free to look it up if you haven't already but the percentages of whites locked up for weed related charges vs. blacks.

This is true across the board, I think it is fair to say that double standards play a role, whatever size, in that.

quote:

70% of black children are born out of wedlock

Obviously that is bad, but 60% of women in their 20's had children out of wedlock. It is a growing societal trend across the board.

I look to offer no excuses for bad behavior regardless of race.

I just do not like being lumped in with trash because we share a similar skin tone.

No, you are being absolute. No matter how you try to spin it, a lot more people took shots at Foster then Reddick. I don't remember any negative shots at Reddick, but i'm will to admit I may be wrong.

I don't give people on this site that much credit.

In the young black community? I'd imagine the same as in the young white community.

Really?

i posted that from a liberal arse article trying to call white people the devil, to avoid issue

that very slanted article said it's 10%. those stats are often skewed due to leaps of faith. like they say whites get x-years for pos of coke and blacks get y-years for pos of crack, then call the different laws racist. it's not racism (there are plenty of "white" drugs with harsher sentencing than coke...they just aren't as popular as crack is)

quote:

no doubt. trash of all races breeds like rabbits...must faster than those of higher culture (of all races)

quote:

I just do not like being lumped in with trash because we share a similar skin tone.

plenty of white trash i could be lumped in with myself. that's why i use "trash" generally (there is a very large overlap in culture between trash of all races. i used to call it the "lower class mentality"). if i'm speaking specifically about black trash (since there isn't a specific term for that group), i use the contemporary verbage of urban african americans. right now i use ratchet (basic doesn't really do it)

Looking back at it, i'll admit it was not as bad as I remember (didn't go through all 8 pages), but it wasn't even.

Reddick was generally applauded.

are you including people pointing out his hypocrisy? there were a few posts on that level. again, not comparable to JJ

I wasn't saying really, like I didn't believe you. I meant it in the since that I was legitimately surprised.

It is not easy to convey emotion through text

This may be true for you but not of everyone. That is what I have a problem with.

i used to call it the "lower class mentality

I still do. I think it is an absolute lower class mentality regardless of race.

nobody criticized foster for pushing for an abortion. other than Tenn fans, they criticized him for cheating on his wife

now if you want to talk criticism, the women in both were DESTROYED by posters

Perhaps we will just have to concede and agree to disagree.

It may be a perception thing.

Its honestly not something i'm that passionate about to argue over. Just my thoughts on the issue.

No - they apparently didn't even threaten let alone physically harm anyone, or at least not that I've read about but I haven't followed this very closely. Basically they stole cars and wrote bad checks.

But the guy has a history and would qualify as a TPOS in my book. The girl is too young to deserve the label.

Absolutely.

I am not responsible for the actions of others who share my race, just like you are not.

Yeah, that sucks. As I said before, I travel a lot for work and I'm singled out as well. All you can do is take the moral high ground and hope for the best. Keep keeping it real, help kids in your area and hope that people around you follow suit.
