I had this thread two weeks ago.
The OT consensus was boats in the driveway are 100% trashy.

My thread.
I was at that meeting on the 15th as well. I thought more were going to show up. I have back yard access. I just don't like rules telling people what to do with their on property.

I think it's okay in nicer areas to pass this ordinance, but it is silly to pass this in areas that are working class.
People with boats like in the story aren't going to pay $1200 a year+ for storage.
No reason at all to force this on University City, Susan and Lincoln and Greenlawn.

My views on all things political go back to this exact thought as well as the government can stay out of my back yard. This is a free country, don't tell me what I can or can't do.

I dont think the city should be telling people where to park their boat.
A neighborhood association can get away with this but not the whole city

that's shitty.
Kenner is banning work trailers as well. If I worked out of a trailer I would be leary to keep it parked somewhere. One quick theft and your business is shot.
There were a rash of cargo van and box van thefts recently, some trailers taken as well.

They do keep that trashy eye-sore of a boat out of the neighborhood.

If your truck doesn't fit in your garage, you need to get magnets. It's pretty ridiculous.

i neither live in kenner or have a boat to park in my yard (front or otherwise) but the government coming out and putting this place is wrong. there should be some sort of grandfathering situation where if you had the boat before this, you are OK to park it in front. of course trying to police this would just be a huge cluster but you can't come out and make this sweeping changes.

I just saw to exempt certain neighborhoods.
This rule is mostly being pushed by people who live in areas that already have restrictions which is odd to me.

In this regard, the OT can go frick itself, twice, forward & backward.
