Also, it has nothing to do with monetary things. It's to remind people to pray.

Just so we're clear, you're comparing you getting a degree to a guy battling cancer with six kids. Impressive.

This may be the dumbest thing I have seen on the internet, not just this site, the entire fricking internet.

Not for me, but it is selfish because it singles him out instead of the hundreds of thousands of other people with cancer (Not to mention all of the little kids who die every year). The selfish aspect was what I am comparing it to, even if he didn't come up with it. Sort of like him being more important than everyone else, so he needs special attention

*I understand his toolbag friends came up with it. I originally thought it would be a little kid from a poor family that had terminal cancer

Friends came up with this, not him or his wife or their kids. They are very religious people and are praying constantly and having prayer vigils at St Catherine's for him.

They are good people with a very bad situation happening to their family. Who cares if they have a bumper sticker reminding people to pray for them.

Whya re they tools? This guy has led a life of helping people. What's so wrong with hoping he's cured? Do you think a cure for him wouldn't translate toa cure for others?

You could just admit you tried to make a funny and instead just came off like the a-hole we all already know you are, but you won't do that.

I'm assuming you meant to reply to the dipshit OP in the thread.

So we can only pray for poor kids that are sick? Yeah, ok.

Good luck getting support for your next battle in life.

I hate the "Keep Calm and " stuff and think it is beyond stupid.

I too have seen these stickers and I am calm and have no idea who Keith is. Okay maybe I'm not calm..
(not my fault I was on the poli board)

Are people honestly this dense?

This isn't some complicated process. An impactful person in the community is battling cancer. It creates awareness to his plight and the plight of others like him fighting this disease.

And if you so choose, since his family believes in the power of prayer, include him in yours.

I have no problem with Keith just the "Keep Calm" actually my aunt is fighting cancer right now too, not looking that great. Her daughter also used "Keep calm and.." on her gofundme page.

I guess it's something that is just really popular right now that I didn't catch up on.

Cancer sucks. (chemo pills costing $5k a month sucks too. F big pharma)

I think "Pray for Dr Keith" would have been better. You treat cancer you don't "cure" cancer.

So I never understood what the stickers were for. Now I know and I hope Dr. Keith pulls through.

How would making this thread be construed as me trying to be funny when I had no idea who Keith was or what he needed cured? I thought it was a little kid with some terminal disease. I'd be more sympathetic to that than some doctor who got cancer. I know all kinds of people who have died of cancer, but nobody made them bumper stickers

Keep calm my grandma has had four different types of cancer
Keep calm my great uncle had dementia
Keep calm my great aunt had a stroke

Or

Keep calm cure cancer
Keep calm cure dementia
Keep calm stop strokes
