This thread needs to turn away from the sticker that Keith's friends made for him and focus on the impact that this man had in the lives of his family and everyone he touched in NOLA.

Dr Keith Collins, he was diagnosed with stage 4 terminal cancer just a few months ago. He was a pediatrician, who was loved by many. A great man. A hero to some and a friend to others. A husband and father. I had the pleasure of knowing Keith Collins. He was my daughter's peditrician. May he rest in peace. Passed away this morning. So now may the magnets passing by read, Keith is cured and at home with Jesus. It was a honor to know you Keith.

I just came back from an afternoon engagement party and many people were talking about Keith and that he passed away this morning. Sad to hear.
Hammertime--I too was a patient of Dr. Andrew Rinker!...Remember the little basket of cheap toys that you got to select from after getting a shot?

Really unfortunate about what happened to Dr. Collins and his family. I went to him even when I was a freshman in college that's how good of a doctor I thought he was.
My thoughts and prayers to his family, especially his wife and children. We lost a truly great man today and I hope his children never forget that.

Amen!
If anyone needed any proof of what this great man meant to so many, they only needed to be at St. Catherine church last night for the wake. Absolutely amazing how many people came out. The line, even at the end point of the night was 1.5 hours for people wanting to show their respects.
I've never seen such an outpouring of love and respect as I've witnessed this past week with people wanting to honor this man and help the family/friends in any way possible.

After reading all the stories about Dr. Keith, he reminded me of my late pediatrician Dr. Treadway. He would always wear costumes and had an ability to connect with all patients. I saw him all the way through his death.

Someone is showing up with a box truck and it will take that a few SUV's to get all of the flowers from the church to the Collins' house today.
And that doesn't even include the 40 or so arrangements that have been sent directly to their house this week.
