So the GF has been great and I like her a lot, she's really cool. But I just met her mom and if she ends up like that, frick that. Her mom is ridiculously emotional and dramatic. She was brought to tears a few times throughout the weekend for things that I couldn't understand at all. She spent a large amount of time bitching about her boss, money problems, and problems with where she lived. And she also gets drunk every night.

Do girls end up turning into their mother? I'm concerned. My gf is already a bit emotional and drinks a lot (but were young and everyone does at our age). Should I bail now or at least work on an exit strategy?

Does she go outside in the middle of the night looking for UAV's and listening to the coffee maker talking? You should be alright if not.

Then that could be indicative of how she'll be as she gets older.

How long have y'all been together?

Was the GF embarrassed and kind of tempering things leading up to and after the time spent with her mom?

Or did the GF act like her mom is awesome and nothing was weird.

I think therein lies the answer to your question. If she is embarrassed of and striving to be better than her mother you shouldn't have any worries (except for marrying a poor chick who will get no inheritance one day).

Sounds like her mom is single and alone. Am I right?

First, DO the mom. Then a legitimate comparison can be made. If she won't play the rusty trombone, don't invest another second.

Also investigate her sammich-making skills. That's passed down from female to female.

Any more issues: don't forget, the OT is here for you.

I mean the GF warned me her mom was like this but never acted like the behaviors bothered her that much, just acknowledged they existed
