gee, I dunno.

why are some black people sensitive to being called "boy"?
I've been called "White Boy" by damn near every black person I've met.
Why would it be so offensive to call them a black boy right back?

Yup I get called honey and baby all the time at work by two females in the office... One of them I talk the same way to. The other I don't...

Ya gotta know who you can say WHAT to... I have patted woman "A " on the arse several times and she doesn't bat an eye... She seems to enjoy it.

so you're saying it's ok for a black guy to say "white boy" but not the other way around?

I say darling. Never had a problem.

I use none of those words at work.

I do hate people who will go to HR for the smallest things, though. What would she do if some guy on the street called her honey? Would she break down since she didn't have some authority figure to run to?
