Every week there is a wad of crap I have to get out of my mailbox and throw away because the postal service brings it to my house.

I immediately throw away 80% of everything that comes in the mail. I get the mail and walk right to the trash.

You can actually write "REFUSED. Return to sender." on all junk mail, and if enough people do it, they'll stop.
Although, I've heard that enacting this right by too many people could effectively bankrupt the USPS. Junk mail is their bread and butter.

I've always said that the mail man is like the opposite of the garbage man. One brings a bunch of crap to you; the other hauls it away. Occasionally, something you need works its way in, but not often.

I love getting anything with a return paid envelope. I used to send all kinds of stuff back to the credit card companies, drawings from my kids, old grocery lists, Amex junk mail to Citibank and Citibank junk mail to Amex.
Now, I just send everything they send me right back to them even the original envelope. The postage paid envelopes are smaller now, so you really have to fold stuff and use tape to close them. I really only had to do this 5 or 6 times and they quit sending stuff to me.

Thats what makes you dislike the USPS?
Thats pretty much all I get in the mail anymore. I receive no paper copies of any bills, and most of my correspondence is through email.

Why not hate the postal regulatory commission who sets cheap rates for junk mail. Then hate the companies who send that stuff to you.
Then find it in your heart to forgive the poor schmucks who get stuck with delivering it every week.
