Sounds like the DA dismissed the charge?

In court, Noce pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. Judge Trudy White sentenced him to 10 years but suspended it all giving him credit for time already spent locked up and put him on five-years probation.

Sounds like this sentence was pursuant to a plea deal. The judge cannot reduce an Agg Rape to Carnal Knowledge. The DA does that.

1) She is no good at what she does

2) Really enjoys the perks of the position

3) Is about as bigoted as they come

How is that for off the top of one's head.....Am I close????

I wonder how she would rule if one of her friends/family were raped. Bet she wouldn't let the guy off because they were black.

Oh and if anyone needs a good laugh, go look at the comments on Facebook on wbrz's article about her suspension

In September 2010, a mother, Alexandra Engler, was gunned down and her then nine-year-old daughter was shot multiple times as she tried to run out the front door of their home in the historic Beauregard Town neighborhood. Engler's daughter was left for dead but miraculously survived. DNA linked Aramis Jackson to evidence left at the scene.

The year before the shooting, Jackson was arrested for illegal carrying of weapons and carrying a gun in a firearm free zone. In that case, the charges were dismissed and Judge Trudy White told Jackson to perform three random acts of kindness. He is still awaiting trial on the case from Beauregard Town.

This is the first thing I think about when I see her name. Perform three random acts of kindness? That dude probably laughed leaving the courtroom while thinking about what random act of crime he would do next.. And as a result of him being put back on the street he, I assumed, tried to rob this lady, who he shot and killed and then shot her 9 year old daughter.. who lived. Blood is on Trudy White's hands because of this. Stupid bitch.

When the state of Louisiana terminates your employment as an agency lawyer because you are too frickin stupid, apparently the answer is "Get elected to the bench."

Lord I hope this sets the precedent for her permanent ejection from the bench.

Gun laws not being enforced by liberal judge leads to more gun deaths.
All gun laws that aren't the 2nd Amendment are either unconstitutional or unnecessary.

She's corrupt and mentally not quite there. She only lasted this long because she's a female minority. She unapologetically advertised that she is easy on criminals. Shameful.

Trudy white is probably guilty of a lot of things, but the firearms charge was dismissed. At that point she had no authority to jail him. The 3 acts of kindness got a lot of news and she took heat. Her other option was to just say, "you're fee to go."
Be mad at the DA's office for dropping the case.

Now the whole use this monitoring service to get out of jail thing ... thats all trudy.

Elected judges. No system is perfect, but this makes about as much sense as electing the parish engineer.

The voters don't have a clue about the competency of the candidates.

Too bad the candidates don't have to take a civil service type exam so we can compare scores. Or even a simple IQ test.

True. But appointing them would be worse.

quote:

In September 2015, a 12-person jury listened to a week-long trial and all 12 returned the same verdict: guilty of second-degree murder. But then presiding Judge Trudy White threw the Stockton family for a loop.

"It was a shock. All the jury find this man guilty of second-degree murder and then the judge comes back and says that she wants to overrule the verdict, she wants to overturn it, the judge, Judge Trudy White comes back and says she wants to overrule the verdict," said Ford.

In court records, Judge White said because Bland, the shooter, was drunk, she overturned a unanimous jury's verdict and made it negligent homicide. The difference? Second-degree murder requires a person to spend the rest of their life in jail, while negligent homicide only has a maximum of five years behind bars.
