So both the cops say they were getting beaten by multiple people, and the only proof is bloody knuckles on the cop who was beating the kid?

Report also says that the kid had his arms up trying to strangle the cop.....not him trying to block the cop from raining blows on his face

The white teenage female who was about to grab the gun and start shooting everyone must be put to death.

Uh...no.

He may have used bad judgement, but he did not deserve a beat down. No one DESERVES that.

Cop needs to learn to control his temper and rage.

Will be interesting to see if medical report also says he didn't remember what happened.

whatever the police report is…read it, then read the boy's side of the story…then meet somewhere in the middle.

I have a hard time believing the police report told the story as is 100% fact.

IMO, the boy's were guilty of being immature pieces of shite and probably deserved an arse kicking…but the police are here to protect and serve and the reason they were calling them pigs is because of shite like this that happens on a routine basis…if you don't have thick enough skin to let a bunch of pre pubescent teens set you off, then you don't deserve to be an undercover cop

yep, here to protect and serve not distribute arse beatings over name calling.

The all in must defend cops crowd hurts their case for helping the good officers when they fail to see that a bad cop might have over reacted. The same as the always innocent good ole boy crowd hurts its side by going with the officer is always wrong

I can't help but wonder if they go to report writing school also, because almost none of them are completely true. They just tailor them to say what they want them to say.

Start throwing them in jail for perjury and I'll be happy. As it is now, there are no negative reprocussions for lying on a report.....other than to the "guilty until innocent" defendant

It's hilarious how police reports are always tailored to fit their narrative exactly. Has there ever been a police report where they acknowledge their mistake or make themselves look bad in any way?

It's basically a "cover your arse" report.

The date on that report is 2/16/15. It was probably written specifically to refute every aspect of the video.

You do, there was a week spent on it in the academy when I went through. We were always told to "not do anything that you couldn't articulate in a report."

Basically don't do anything unless you knew how to write it up properly.

Are supervisors present when writing a report for something that they'll know will be controversial? I'd imagine it was a CYA moment, and the cops needed some advice on wording

Supervisors approve them and will kick them back to make adjustments on occasion. This guy is/was a detective so I doubt there was anyone helping him write it, by that point your report writing skills have been refined.

Whatever the kid did before, the cop repeatedly punched him when the kid was under the cop's control. The cop should not only be fired but also prosecuted for battery. Issues such as when if ever the cop identified himself or whether the kid incited anything or was or wasn't drunk are entirely separate issues. The video shows a grown cop holding a boy down and beating him. The only thing the boy is doing with his one free hand is trying to protect himself from being choked and hit. He is in no way a threat to the cop. The cop here has crossed over to where he is as much a criminal as any other post parade brawler.

Could be why they had to stop and let the kid puke too. Who knows.

Cop needs to be fired.

The issue is this: the kid was neutralized at the point several closed fist punches were slammed into his face.

The cop was ON TOP holding him down by the throat with the weight of his body. The kid was done no matter how much he "struggled". Anyone who has actually fought knows that.

To me, flailing on someone in that position with concrete against the kids head is a sign of rage, not control.

I agree. He was in a position of control and repeatedly hit them much smaller student.

Too bad people here can't look at this objectively.

Have not seen the video but have been hearing about the incident. If the kid put his hands on the officer as he states to get him "out of our faces", then IMHO he instigated the incident. Just because he is a minor does not give him the right to try and nut up against an officer

All of this is going round and round. Like I said before, this guy never identified himself as a cop in the beginning. Regardless if 17 year old drank a handle of crown, Regardless if the punk kid was yelling shite, none of that justifies blows to the head like what happened. If the kid was going for the cops gun or fighting against him, I could understand but that was not the case. Even if he was doing this before the video happened, the officer had him down and neutralized the threat at the time the camera was rolling and the way he reached for his gun and started yelling back the frick up makes me question his integrity .

If any of you guys were hanging out at a parade and saw someone in getting agressive with your friends or family, you would have done the same thing. These cops did not identify themselves and were out looking for a reason. There are a hand full of cops that go out there this time of year as plain clothes officers who are looking for shite. However they always seem to pick on high school kids. They should focus on the real thugs and try to get them to engage them.
