And how is this an evil skeleton in the closet if they handled it 15 years ago and everyone's ok now?

Are you saying he shouldn't be able to be a father?
he shouldn't profit off of being a father and having cameras follow his family around like he's such a good guy.

We don't know shite about how he is now. For all we know, he could masturbate to his sisters every night.

assuming when they aren't molesting the little girls.

Most of the idiots in this thread do. They expect this family to be perfect and held to a higher standard than they are, and look for the first sign of imperfection to say "see!"
It's the same ones trying to find dirt on Tebow for years and years. People love to tear someone down they take as "preachy".
Is what he did deplorable? Yes...the parents sent him away from the house to do manual labor when he did it the first time, then contacted a state trooper the second. Evidently this is "supporting a child molester"

Devil's advocate, what about a girl touching a boy in a non-babysitter kind of way?
If you're asking me if the genders were reversed but the ages were the same, yes I would react the same.

I don't mean to be cynical but their lifestyle is too perfect. If this is true, Josh learned this from Jim Bob?

He went to a state trooper he knew, who took no official action, and is now in prison for child pornography.
Jim Bob was asked by Springdale police to come in, and he initially refused.

When the family was scheduled to appear on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show in 2006, an email was sent to the show warning them about the alleged molestation. The email was written by a 61-year-old female who is not identified.
Harpo Studios faxed the letter to the Department of Human Services hotline. The report was then opened for investigation, leading to the investigation by Springdale police.
When police asked Jim Bob to bring Josh in for an interview in 2006, he attempted to hire a lawyer and refused to produce his son for questioning. At least two lawyers refused to take his case. “Det. Hignite received a voice mail from Mr. Duggar stating that [redacted] had hired an attorney and would not be coming in for an interview.”

Just wondering. I know in a lot of cases, women are given the benefit of the doubt

It's really easy to say you'd turn your child into the police until you have the phone in your hand and your son is crying and telling you he's sorry.
As I parent I hope I never face this situation.

Am I the only one who thought the part about a friend finding out about this by reading it in a borrowed book was really weird? That makes it seem like one of the girls was too scared to say anything to anyone so she wrote it in a book she knew would make it outside of the house and would be read by someone outside the family.

Keep making leaps, maybe you'll land on something true.

For someone who hates the family and what they stand for, you sure know a lot about them and seemed to have watched the show.

They still follow all the same rules though?

Could be that or it could have been josh keeping some sort of diary. Who knows. It's all speculation.
