Johnson's baby lotion obsession by a certain demographic: why?

Have a coworker who applies this on the hour, every hour. Been seeing this display by a certain type of group over the years and I do not get it. All the lotions on the market, and they are completely obsessed with this baby lotion. I'm all for keeping the skin hydrated, but this is another level and seems to be a cultural thing... why?

I use to use the purple bottle one to help me sleep.
