Multimillionaire televangelist Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Texas netted $4.4 million in bailouts through the federal COVID-19 relief program, records show.

The Houston megachurch, the largest in the nation with 52,000 weekly congregants, received the forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loan in late July, the Houston Business Journal reported Sunday. The loan was the third-highest in the Houston area during all of July and August, the outlet noted, citing federal data.

Lakewood’s PPP check went to 368 full- and part-time employees, spokesman Donald Iloff told the Houston Business Journal.

He said in-person services that were suspended from March 15 through Oct. 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic impacted “its ability to collect substantial donations during those services.”

What a fricking charlatan this fricking snake oil salesman is. This mother fricker doesn’t pay taxes, is worth over 100 million dollars, and has his own private jet from his own constituency. Between not paying taxes and his private jet, why doesn’t he just sell the jet or think through he’s saved far more than 4.4 million dollars by not being taxed? Why doesn’t he take one for the team?

Between this and the Hurricane fiasco, could there not be a more obvious snake oil salesman? Please text this article to anyone who still listens to him. You don’t get a bailout check, but the guy who is worth over a hundred million dollars with a private jet and hasn’t had to pay taxes his entire life gets one. Not to mention most of the people who work for him probably do it voluntarily without pay. Plus I really doubt that mother fricker’s donations have gone down all that much since the vast majority of his “congregation” is over the television. This fricking sociopath would have no problem trying to weasel some poor sap out of the money they need to properly feed their kids. frick Joel Osteen!
