I might respect the opinion of a vegan on this topic, but any person who eats meat or wears any skin needs to STFU.

Because I eat meat (which btw they left the entire carcass to rot) I can't oppose poaching? And I'm not worked up about this but I definitely think the good dentist needs to feel some repercussions. His last year of probation obviously didn't get the message across.

If you don't want to hear people upset about this story, why dont you change the channel or go to the next thread?

This doesn't have anything to do with hunting or eating meat. It's about a poacher with no respect for the law or these animals. Some posters here respect lions and other creatures on earth. Get over yourself. Why are some many of you trying to be the thought police here and tell people what they can or should be upset about? Ya know, humans have the ability to be upset about more than one thing at a time.

Please explain how this lion is any more noble or worthy than a cow? Perhaps I have been looking at this the wrong way, after all #Pigslivesmattertaswell.

If you are against the killing of animals great, kudos and respect to you. The vast majority of folks going on about this lion are disingenous drama queens however. This seems to be the group you fall into

If you bait one of my cows off my land and shoot it with a bow and it wanders for 40 hours until your dumbass finds it again and kills it, you are still a dumb piece of shite.

If you travel across the planet and pay 50k to do that shite, you are just as much of a dumbass as this dentist.

He spent a good five minutes on his show devoting it to a story about a guy who killed a lion in Africa that had a tracking device on it. I don't agree with killing bears and lions and the like but jesus. It's a comedy show don't get into your political agendas on it. He basically made the guy public enemy number one on national tv then said don't harass him full well knowing the attention he brought to him would do just that. He then started to cry and got choked up towards the end of it. Why the hell are you crying about a lion you never saw? Was it your pet? I watch comedy shows to laugh not see you cry about animals.

Did he spend any time talking about Planned Parenthood killing babies and selling their body parts?

I agree that how they went about this was wrong... But when social justice warriors pull their claws out, I stop caring about what they have to say.

They've ruined my ability to give a shite about any cause they bring to light.

This is one of them. At first I sympathized with the situation. But once I saw the same fricking this reposted 10 times on my facebook feed, I was over it and stopped caring.

EDIT: The thing that really pisses me off is everyone is singling out this dentist. He didn't go over there himself, track down a lion and kill it.

He put his trust in his guides and they fricked him. So while you bash this dentist, let's not forgot who the real villains are.

This guy is probably going to have to close his practice because of the bad pub. I'm sure he's getting death threats. The lynch mob is only going to make it worse. What's done is done. I'm sure he does feel like shite and deservingly so.

CBS news destroyed the guy and the guide last night. Talking about the details of his last illegal kill. Looks like the dentist struck the wrong nerve.

Oooh, so Mother Nature needs a favor?! Well maybe she should have thought of that when she was besetting us with droughts and floods and poison monkeys! Nature started the fight for survival, and now she wants to quit because she’s losing. Well I say ‘hard cheese.

Worse shite happened over the last 30 mins, but everyone is in an uproar about a lion.

That's because this is an easy outrage. Hunter bad, lion beautiful and innocent.

When they want to get upset about, say, inner city murder, uncomfortable issues like race, culture, illegitimacy, government handouts create too much dissonance for them to really get worked up about it.

Dude is primarily concerned with ratings. Feel free to start your own Abortion Power Hour. The free market will decide.

First off, I haven't paid any attention to the PP shite. If it's for-profit I have an issue. That being said, if you don't have a problem with abortion, why would you have a problem with the (I can't think of a gentle way to say this) parts going to children in need of them? Is it preferable to throw them in the dumpster? Genuinely curious as it seems like a logical inconsistency.

eta- just remembered this is a thread about a lion and a tv personality. Disregard.

Wait, because I each chicken and beef I'm not allowed to oppose poaching of a protected species?
