How is it that a Jimmy Johns, most likely owned by a franchise owner - not necessary full of capital - have better video cameras than Chase Bank, Capital One or any other bank that you can think of?

Man, doesnt that robber know that the statues are coming down?
Posted on 4/28/17 at 9:26 am to Will Cover
That is an excellent camera.

Even if he thought it might be a fake gun or unloaded, why would a cashier at a sandwich shop risk that for money in the register

It was similar to this when I was robbed, sometimes you are in shock and just cannot believe it is happening.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa I think the shooter should have cocked his gun before stepping in there, and let's not forget the fact he can be EASILY identified by witnesses. What a stupid arse criminal.

I would have had a button installed under the counter that activates a hidden nozzle that sprays any would be robber with roast beef sauce then I press my second button which open a hidden door holding back my 18 trained pit bulls.
All of them carrying automatic weapons and flamethrowers.

High resolution cameras are cheap nowadays. Most of the shitty security cameras probably 10-15 years old and they too cheap and lazy to actually upgrade to modern quality.

The pistol wasn't even ready to fire. The bullet was never chambered.
Robber would've been in deep shite if that cashier knew Krav Maga and disarmed him. In the full video, robber leaves an opening or 2 that a trained person would've easily been able to disarm him.

Heh embarrassing on the robbers part.

In fairness to the robber, he was going to Jimmy John's, not Fort Bragg.
The robber is obviously not too bright but he did accurately surmise that the teenage sandwich maker probably wasn't going to be a professional.

Kinda hard to shoot someone when the bullet has the chamber locked back. Look at the barrel when he cocks the gun in the first gif
I just noticed that
Posted on 4/28/17 at 9:56 am to tke857
The cartridge didn't chamber. That's probably why the cashier is so nonchalant.

You do nothing. Give him the $200 in the drawer, let insurance pay you back, and carry on.
This. Unless he's acting erratically, in this situation you'd have to be an idiot to escalate the situation.

Does your opinion change if the cash drawer was near $1000? Or let it go no matter what?
If it's my store and my employee is the one in this situation, the amount doesn't matter. Let them have it. As if I'd want a stoner college kid in a gunfight in my restaurant with some dumbass dindu :lol;
If it's me in the situation, it'd still take a huge amount. In this particular scenario, I'd feel pretty comfortable drawing and holding this guy considering his ineptitude and the fact that the gun was clearly out of battery

Right hand push gun left towards the outside of his grip, left hand grabs bottom of gun grip and rotates up. Thug's finger, at best, breaks, at worst, amputates. Shoot Thug.
Edit: clear jam, then shoot thug.
