As someone who also has MD I never once had anyone call me one of "Jerry's kids" and even if they did I couldn't give a shite because I'm not a joyless individual.
Jerry Lewis may have been an a-hole but he raised millions upon millions of dollars for research into treatment, wheelchairs, orthotics, and other medical equipment, neurology visits, summer camps, etc... all for people with MD.
With all of that said without knowing any of what transpired between them it's pretty effed up that he didn't leave anything for his kids.

I never understood Jerry Lewis. Wasn't his whole shtick acting like a retard? I guess that was edgy at one time, but it didn't age well. I can do that bit as well as he could. I don't get what was so funny about him or his act. I just chalk it up to "it was a different time."

a relative of mine used to work for the airlines years ago in the VIP lounge. she said that Jerry Lewis's entourage always insisted he be kept away from fans. then he would leave the room and make a drunk assclown out of himself attracting attention-then complain and insist they be fired because they didn't do their jobs. a real dick.

I always thought that was Jim Carrey's weakest stuff. On the flip side, Carrey also did Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine, and for both he won awards as a top-level dramatic actor. Did Jerry Lewis ever do anything aside from variations on the retard bit?
I know some people find that stuff hilarious but it's just not for me. I never thought the Three Stooges was funny either. But I fully acknowledge that to a good number of people the old "guy getting wacked in the balls" bit, in all of its endless variations, is THE height of comedy.

I enjoy hearing the stories of self absorbed POS douches like Jerry Lewis. Howard Stern used to play clips of Lewis acting like a dickwad to a director during the telethon. Funny stuff
