Lakeview - you are wrong. Someone earlier cited it correctly with the applications of 23 and younger or mental incapacity. I have linked the civil code article 1493 below for some Saturday night reading.

As for Jerry - he gave an amazingly awkward interview about 6 months back that is worth checking out.

Being that old with that much money would scare me. I already don’t trust people as it is. Having $100mm to keep track of at 90 years old, I’m sure there were people somewhere along the way that skimmed a few million here and there.
My first thought was maybe the current wife manipulated him into alienating the kids from the first wife and leaving everything to her, but apparently this happened years ago when his kids weren't all that old and he was still competent.
He admitted cheating on his first wife, and then cut off all the kids they had together when he remarried. Sounds like a real piece of shite. I'll never understand the thinking of people who want to bring a bunch of kids into the world but not take responsibility for who those kids become. That's no different than some ghetto trash thug who abandons his kids.

In 1997 I had internet available in my home and I said 15-20 years ago so it was not impossible you idiot.
It was likely closer to 15 years. Early 2000s, but hey you said I didn't so I must be lying..

Always heard he was a super dbag.
Some one might remember the guy, but Howard Stern, many years ago, used to have a comedian, who was bound to a wheel chair, and was about 3ish foot tall on his show and he would go off on Jerry all the time. Dude had major hate for Jerry.
He literally would go to events and protest Jerry Lewis, and berate him when he would come out. Said he was a fraud, and his charity was a sham.

Yahoo email started in 1997 but Chris wasn’t emailing MDA complaining about Jerry Lewis in 1997.
FTR, I had an Excite email address and a AOL address in 1996
You are one stupid a-hole. Again, I said 15-20 years ago so you interpret that to be absolute 20 years ago. I don't remember the exact year.. Either way AOL started providing email service in 1993-94ish, so for you to think it wasn't possible for me to not email MDA in 1997 is just ignorant. But again, like I said, I was likely early 2000s. Maybe I am a year off, I really don't know.. But I absolutely sent an email and received a response.
I truly felt they were doing a disservice to the people they claimed they were helping.
Either way, if you want to prove me wrong then do some research to see if you can find where the majority of their money goes to.

Wait, it doesn't work that way. You can't just say anything and tell others they have to prove you wrong.

In other words I was right. You didn’t email MDA 20 years ago, right? More like 10 years ago?

There is no proof that he was a fraud or his charity was a sham, but the way he approached the telethon was extremely self serving. Like I said, every year he would get on TV and plea with the world to send donation. He would exploit people with the worse cases of MD and tell everyone that they are so close to finding a cure and that he needed people to donate as much as they could afford so that people like the kids with extreme cases could one day have a "normal life".
It's not a virus so it's not like they were trying to find a vaccination. It is hereditary, sort of like diabetes so it would require re engineering someone's DNA so what exactly were they researching and why did they need 10s of millions of dollars every year to do so? And that didn't include money that was raised through local MDA chapters. And like I said earlier, the question of "where exactly does all the money go to?" has never been answered.

Not shocking considering his oldest son has called him "evil" in interviews. All of those old famous men from that era were pricks.

People who are rich and die at 91 don't leave much in their will. They estate plan. They set up trusts. They make annual gifts. They sell company interests at minority discounts.
Hopefully that's what he did. If he didn't he screwed over the people he intended to leave his wealth to.

Yes you were right. Obviously you need to hear this to feel good about yourself. I don't remember the exact year you fricking moron. You want me to give you credit on the fact that it was likely closer to 15 years than 20?
Jackass!
