I am going to Jazz Fest on Friday. It has been more than 10 years since I have gone.

Any parking location recommendations?

What about the shuttle?

Thanks

Def read Jazz Land for some reason and had a nice trip down memory lane ...

Park somewhere illegal, find a ticket on another person's car, and put it under your windshield wiper. (Someone did this to me last year and I got 2 tickets instead of just one ... got the second removed) Clever bastards.

I usually park at Cabrini. It's not cheap, but it's close and they provide free food and drinks.

Ya I've heard of that move.

Sometimes we just all agree to split the ticket/fine before we park. That way it's just like paying for a regular spot.

Depends what time you're getting there. Early-ish (say before 1p) there's always free legal parking along Bayou Road between Broad and Esplanade. Or within a block of Esplanade on one of the side streets along there. It's a bit of a hike.

Not sure about the free food, but it is a good spot.

I always park in the food vendor lot, because I'm better than you.

park on the backside and walk. If you cant find somewhere on the street, park in city park and cross the bayou and go in the back entrance.

$30 or $40
I usually tip them for the food and any alcoholic drinks I buy from there. They make a mean Bloody Mary.

park far away and cab there and back.

Parking around there sucks.

I try and find a spot in city park and walk it or ride a bike in.

Park at City Park and ride the shuttle in. Very convenient. Not sure how much it was.

Why Uber and worry about surge pricing when you can rent a bike?

While I ride my bike to the fest it was purely just a suggestion to the OP. How much does a bike rental cost ?

I used to park for free in City Park behind the museum and then ride my bike to the fest. There is a huge area for bike parking at the Gentilly gate or you can lock up along the fence on the side street. Make sure to bring a good lock and don't park in front of the museum. They will tow you.
