Yeah. Being compassionate towards a mental illness means I have that mental illness. Makes sense. This board really is full of Louisiana trash, and threads like this remind me of that.
I'm sure that most of you guys claim to be Christians as well.
Use your fricking brains. Why would someone want to be attracted to children? There is no benefit. That is not a choice they are making. Circumstances possibly beyond their control have deformed their sexual attractions. I absolutely agree that that does not mean they should act on those urges. Plenty of people are able to resist normal sexual urges due to religious reasons. These people should be able to resist because they are causing terrible harm to children.
But I do think that real research should go into helping these people actually deal with these crippling mental illnesses.

Good to know pedophilia is sympathized with in the state of Texas who is generally known for their tolerance.
Feel bad for the borderlines, schizophrenics, histrionics, autism/aspergers, etc. Pedophiles know and understand what they're doing is wrong and illegal. That's the difference.

Do you have any fricking clue what you're even talking about? Pedophilia is one of the most researched diagnosis in the mental health field. The complexity and depth of it makes it almost impossible to get a read on.

What is all this drivel about? There is plenty of fricking research going into this. We have a four decade offender 3 blocks from my house. Trust me, they've tried to "rehabilitate" him.
Sometimes you have to call a spade and spade - it's just plain fricking evil.

I don't get people. Psychologists have been perplexed by pedophilia for ages. We're not suppose to shame them? Is this a new SJW agenda? Go easy on them or they might not get the help they so desperately desire.

I've seen statistics showing 1/3 pedophiles claim to have been sexually abused. They're also finding that the etiology is more and more natural causes the more they research. This is a perpetuated misnomer.
They report that their findings suggest that there are one or more neurological characteristics present at birth that cause or increase the likelihood of being pedophilic. Straight out of wikipedia.
Think about it logically, if it were due to environmental causes, CBT and support groups would more likely be successful treatment options.

This sounds rather harsh, But IMO he will end up doing this anyway...I am sure he doesn't want this to be brought up in a trial that will be as public as it gets in reguards as to what he did to those kids, And I am sure he is scared to death of what WILL happen to him in prison...
