Friend of mine hasn't gotten one since 2012. It's a good run.

Do they actually set up checkpoints just for this? Sounds like some money grabbing bullshite.

I've never been through one if they do

I've been through a few. Hit one on 190 in my wife's Suburban with no current insurance certificate. Wife called her agent and agent spoke to cop. No ticket. Trooper also said they can run plate to determine if insurance is current.

1 month expired inspection sticker = $120.00 in West Baton Rouge Parish.

Two different jurisdictions and the cops on the causeway told me that I should have gotten a new sticker the day I got the first ticket. It was pretty dumb on my part

It's just $18. That's a lot cheaper than the ticket would be.

I got a ticket for my NOLA brake tag being 4 years expired in Denham way back in the day. I just told the DA/assistant that I got it changed before court. Of course they didn't verify so I didn't pay a thing or get an inspection.

Lived in Utah for 20 months, inspection sticker has been Out of Date for 16 of those months.

Still going strong.

I get one every 13 months because that's the law. Every decade I save my $18. Take that big government.

Hey fricktus. Those other states collect the money in other ways. LA in the other hand doesn't charge shite for a DL or plate so then they do the inspection deal. Stupid really

At $10 for an inspection sticker, and $200 for a ticket, you would have to get by for 20 years for it to pay out

My Mom has Florida plates and New Jersey inspection, I want to say it's all expired. She says they never check that. My dad drove around on a California plate for years with no stickers on it.

That's nothing. I went 15 years without one.

thank goodness Mississippi canceled their inspection program last year.

honestly, it wasn't the five bucks or so that the sticker cost that bothered me, but the inconvenience of having to go to get the shite done.

The stickers are $25 year.

If you go 8 years without one, you've won.

You absolutely need to keep your insurance and registration/license plate up to date in Louisiana. This will be checked every time you are pulled over.

If you have a Louisiana brake tag and it is expired, you need to update it because they look.

If you never get one, they never notice. I know many people who have gone 10+ years without ever getting one on a new car.
