To celebrate 100 years of independence, Canada honored the first baby born on July 1, 1967 as its "centennial baby". That baby was Pam Anderson.

A lot of Canadian musicians and actors end up main stream in the USA. I'd say that is pretty significant cultural cross over.

Music:
Justin Beiber
Drake
The Band (except Levon Helm)
Rush
Shania Twain
Michael Bublé
Avril Lavinge
The Weeknd
Nickleback
Neil Young

Actors/ Performers:
A frick ton. Wont even attempt to list all most people know but sime big ones:
Jim Carrey
Pamela Anderson
Tommy Chong
Mike Myers
Michael Cera
Ryan Gosling
Michael J Fox
Seth Rogen
Alan Thick
Ryan Reynolds

TV shows:
Trailer Park Boys
Degrassi

There's a lot more that you don't realize

In England if they're not sure if someone is American or Canadian they'll ask if you are Canadian because Canadians get really mad if they ask them if they are an American.

Neil Young may be Canadian, but he's one of the best Americans in our lifetimes.

Are cajuns still pissed because they threw y'all out of canada?

What a stupid frickin question. There isn't a cajun alive today that was thrown out of Canada, just like there isn't a black alive today that was a slave.

Yet, which group doesn't hold on to stupid shite that occurred 4 generations ago that no one alive is responsible for?

Now, in the spirit of Canada...

Just got back from Vancouver

Grouse grind /grouse Mountain was cool

Capilano suspension bridge was kinda overrated and crowded.

Great food aboot town. Vij’s was amazing
A lot of good dimsum and ramen places around, lots of Asians

Enjoyed eating At Fanny bay oysters, good clams and oyster shooters

Poutin was good, Couple local breweries were good to check out

Saw a Canucks vs Winnipeg jets game , first hockey game for me.

The streets were clean, The people were real nice , 20 Starbucks in. 4 mike radius was pretty ridiculous though.

Quebec city has a Euro feel to it if you want some and don't feel like going to Europe.

I worked with some cool Quebecois in the past but the were all tech guys so that was why.
