Your mistake was not telling them to put it in as "Waiting" and that you were on your way over to pick it up as soon as you hung up the phone.

You people go to the wrong Walgreens. It's never taken me more than 15 minutes at Walgreens.

Why in the HELL would you go to Walmart's pharmacy when there is a Walgreens/CVS on damn near every corner?

You know they probably get the flunky dunks too

Why on earth does it take so long to fill prescriptions anyway?

Despite the woman repeatedly suggesting that I have a seat, I stand there for a good 90 seconds making them feel as uncomfortable as possible, until I decide to move slightly to my right so that they can help the next customer. Yeah, I didn't want to come off as selfish, I realized that.

Still, I stood there really close and stared at all of them, trying to make them as uncomfortable as possible. I'm really good at this.

oh and to the OP... today is the busiest day of the entire year in a pharmacy....

1.) it's a Monday...
2.) it's a Monday after a Thursday holiday, meaning doctor's offices have been closed since the Wednesday prior, so they are swamping pharmacies with new Rx's...
3.) it's the 1st of the month, which is ALWAYS the busiest part of the month...
4.) it's cough and cold season, along with flu shot season, which increase the work volume of a pharmacy drastically
5.) it's December, and many people are trying to get as much shite filled before their insurance deductibles start over again...

i'm so glad i was off today, and am off tomorrow as well.....

here's a question... do you just want some pills in a bottle, or do you want the CORRECT pills in a bottle?

Do they not come in a giant bottle with the correct label on it so you can transfer the prescribed number into a smaller bottle?

they do... however, for us to deduce what in the hell the doctor wrote, ensure the dosing is correct, check it against a patient's profile to make sure the shite won't kill you or interact with any other medication you may happen to be taking, bill the insurance accurately, fill the correct medication with the correct amount, and then verify all of the above to make sure it's all 100% accurate, that takes time....

if all we did was put pills from a larger bottle to a smaller one and got paid as much as we do, why the frick you ain't doing it?
