Why? To remove all doubt that you're white trash?

If you don't know that this is intentionally meant as an insult to black people, you are ignorant beyond the point of anything that I can fathom.

If no black people go to that private dock, then how are they insulting anyone?

I don't know. Are you offended by it.

"I think I may be offended by this but I'm not sure. I feels offensive and I may be offended by it, but I'm not sure, so I'll just call the owner a dirty ole racist to be sure. That way I'll get out in front of things and people won't call me a racist"

It's on Lake LBJ, a public body of water, so lots of visitors see it every weekend.

The homeowner seems to be a white haired lady in her 70's, for what it's worth.

Does thinking it's racist make you racist? That's the REAL question here.

The fact that someone would think that is offensive is offensive to me.

The trashy gorilla statue and dock are attached to an unusually nice house, so it might be meant to irritate everyone in our neighborhood, regardless of race.

In which case I'd think it's more funny than racist.

There's a concrete statue place just south of Jacksonville on US 1 if you are in the market.

What makes the little boy racist? Nice smile? Fishing pole? Red lips?

I read somewhere that PETA is protesting that gorillas find themselves being compared with black people as offensive.
