To me, that says "I want to be in a relationship", not "I want to be in a relationship with you". Our target market is just different

Nah, you can't have that home toilet waiting in the wings for emergencies. Gotta go cold turkey and let loose under the same roof before the marriage has a good chance at success.

I would think considering the terms leverage and power when discussing your relationships says more about you than any woman, or man, you will ever be with.

If you don't want to live someone then don't.

I want a (pretty) girl roommate so she can do the dishes and I can bang her friends. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I'm pretty sure you still have options when you live someone else, when you live apart and when you're married. The commitment part comes in when choosing whether or not to exercise those options and risk what you currently have. If you don't want to be in a committed relationship, then don't be in one. Be single and always ready to mingle. Chicks dig guys like that.

The number one way to have leverage over a woman is for her to fear and dread that you have other options than her, which you lose.

I can't tell who is crazier, you or the woman that fricked all of your friends.

I have never dated a girl who didn't hoard empty conditioner bottles or leave black rubber band things all over the house

I don't really frequent the OT much, but just wanted to let you know that I've never down-voted every post in a thread by the OP before.

Divorce rate is about 60%.
People who live together prior to marrying have a divorce rate higher than 80%.
People who have no sex prior to marriage divorce rate is less than 5%.

Sex before marriage prevents couples from getting to know each other. Instead of discovering what is inside of each other often the couples (especially the male) are primarily thinking of how soon can we have sex instead of what are their thoughts on raising children. Many conversations are shallow because the mind is on sex.
Once ex enters the equation it makes it more difficult to get out of the relationship. Sex creates certain emotional bonds that are difficult to break and take a lot of time to heal once they are broken. When this healing does not take place, then these wounds enter the next relationship. This causes problems in the next relationship. When there was no sex in the relationship it is much easier to leave a relationship that is not workable.

Couples need to have deep conversations prior to marriage. Their minds need to be thinking of additional deep conversations. These lead to discovering the person sooner, thus living together is not necessary.
Years ago people did not "need" to live together prior to marriage. The divorce rate was far lower than 60%, 30%, 20%. It was around 5%. Why were those "uneducated" people so much smarter than we are today? They must have known something.
If you truly love someone you wait to have sex after marriage.
There is no room for selfishness in a marriage. Both people should evaluate their selfishness prior to marriage. This will lead them to NOT living together.

Kuperberg found that individuals who committed to cohabitation or marriage at the age of 18 saw a 60 percent rate of divorce. Whereas individuals who waited until 23 to commit saw a divorce rate that hovered more around 30 percent. “For so long, the link between cohabitation and divorce was one of these great mysteries in research,” Kuperberg says. “What I found was that it was the age you settled down with someone, not whether you had a marriage license, that was the biggest indicator of a relationship's future success.”

It goes much deeper than some random stats thrown around...
