Of course it is. IMO if your home / property is valued less then 200,000 then you are trash.

Yeah, I don't think thread applies to you.

To answer the OP, yes it's a crappy thing to do if you live in a subdivision with < 1 acre lots.

Everybody hates the HOA until stuff like this goes down.

Yes unless you have something going on at your house.

I also have a neighbor that chooses to park their damn 2000 Ford Focus station wagon in front of my damn driveway. They have 5 cars total. Apparently the son's car has an oil leak so they decided to make his parking spot directly in front of my driveway but on their side of the road. I do live in a neighborhood with an HOA. We all have large lots. Mine is 3.6 acres. But he just chooses to park in the way. I have mentioned it to them multiple times. Might try the "letting of air" out of the tires trick.

Ive seen it done plenty of times, its never bothered me and i have never thought twice about it. If there are multiple cars in the driveway, park in the yard. Never knew this was such a big deal to some people

Don't know what city you live in, but I used to have neighbors in Kenner that parked on the lawn like that and a Kenner code inspector put a notice on their cars that if they didn't stop doing it he would issue each car a fine.

Yeah Kenner don't play.

We don't need an HOA, they drive around and make chalk lines at the tires of cars that don't move, and then fine the owners. Also grass has to be cut and you can't park a boat or rv in front your house.

My dad owned a bar when I was young and I remember he used to catch the cops putting chalk on car tires in his parking lot and then pulling cars over at the red light up the street that would have chalk on their tires. frick the PoPos

I meant on the ground to mark where the tire was, but that is shitty that they would do that.

IMO legal limit should be .1 not .08

Boat trailers(with no boat) in the grass and this are fn trashy. I hate people who leave Chalmette but act like they still live there.

We moved out of state some years ago and the realtor was taking us around to look at houses. If we pulled in a neighborhood and I saw a car on the grass it was "let's go, I don't need to see the house." Excluding houses in the country, this is the first sign of the decline of the neighborhood.

It's normal to make evaluations like this. When you buy a house in a neighborhood, you're sort of buying into the neighborhood.

This is why I find it baffling that caring about this stuff happening in one's neighborhood makes one a nosey a-hole.

I park in my yard all of the time. I had no idea people looked down on it, nor do IGAF. Our driveway is such parking in it blocks the two cars that may need to get out. I'd rather people pull into my yard than block me in. If I need to get my ATV out I park in the yard. I park in the yard for the frick of it sometimes too.
