Just this man's opinion. It gets no better than crystal light unsweetened tea. In fact. I'm picking up some on the way to dinner today. I'm parched as frick.

I think the only places out here you can get sweet tea are Cane's and Chick Fila. I order it every now and then as a treat(I grew up with my mother making sweet sun tea for us).

My parents love sweet tea though...and they are both from south LA.The first time they came to visit me in AZ and I took them out to dinner they both tried ordering it at the restaurant we were at and were both disappointed that it wasn't offered.

I'll get it at Canes out of habit but other than that, I don't give a shite about sweet tea.

Is a state having high obesity rates a requirement for being southern?

People complain about high insurance premiums AND that not all restaurants have diabetes causing sweet tea.

This is my problem. You have beer and soft drinks that are bad for you. Who are you to make the decision that sweet tea is to unhealthy for me to drink. I thought this was America.

This. Except IMHO it's not at all a La. thing. I never heard of "Sweet Tea" at all until I left La.

How about getting a glass of iced tea and adding your own sugar.

Dumping sugar in already made cold tea is stupid. It doesn't work.

You aren't a true southern state if you don't serve sweet tea.

Popeyes too. Their tea is basically supersaturated sugar water... in other words perfect. I want to feel the sugar crystals forming and scratching my throat on the way down. Mmmm

Plenty of places don't have sweet tea. They have sugar and sugar substitute on the tables.

That isn't the same. Sugar has to dissolve in the tea at high temps.

Maybe it's a LA regional thing?

From BR.....I grew up with my mom making it for us and can remember it being offered at most non-chain type restaurants in BR

There are sadly not many Popeyes out here. The few locations I know of are mostly ones that are located inside a gas station.
