I actually had a guess as to what this is about, then looked up the estimated estate at death of my guess and I was wrong.

Uh, thanks for sharing.

Complete and total theft, and it cannot be described in any other way.

I came here to say someone did a poor job of estate planning to let Uncle Sam take that much wealth from future generations.

Hypothetically, how much of that “wealth” could have been saved by trusts and other tax avoidance schemes?

Estate taxes are the least American thing ever. Absolute theft.
I pay income taxes my whole life (stealing my labor), buy stuff and pay sales tax, own stufff and pay property tax (stealing ownership rights), and I pay license taxes for everything I do, and then if my stuff grows in value- capital gains tax, and then after all that these sumbitches make my estate pay taxes on my taxed to hell money after I’m dead???!!!

You could win one of those billion dollar powerballs and invest 500 mil at a 10% annual return and in 30 years be worth 2 billion if you don’t blow money. I imagine a lot of oil families in Texas and Oklahoma made hundreds of millions and invested it to be worth way more than we realize. You don’t realize how much money that is. It blows my mind how people like Gates and Musk manage their wealth because it can grow so exponentially at that level even with the most conservative investments

That’d be closer to 9 billion.

This could be a gift tax from someone who knows their net worth is about to explode.

You’re right, them sumbitches shouldnt fund the USDA to inspect our meat, or build interstates for us to drive on, or provide military protection for our country .. they should let you keep 100% of your “hard earned money”.. meanwhile , i can just about guarantee that i work harder than you and am in a higher tax bracket than you.. and i understand why i need to pay taxes to live in a society…. Jesus Christ, some of you people ……..

So many of y'all talking about how estate tax is bullshite when not one of y'all will have an estate that will meet the threshold to pay it (everything over 13+ mil this year, reverts back to pre TCJA levels after 2025 at 7ish million)

I mean damn, you don't have to simp for billionaires that hard

All of it. There is zero reason to ever have to pay an estate tax. Could have been 0.

So there are no unfair taxes? No punitive taxes? No duplicative taxes? No excessive taxes?

One can agree with taxes, but disagree with the current tax structure.

Your post was moronic.
