The media wouldn't (at least at its pace) turned into the shitshow we know it as today. It wasn't really about ratings before the Simpson trial. Now that's the only thing they care about, and journalistic integrity be damned.

I'll go so far as to say if OJ had killed himself that day, Trump would never have become President. Yeah, I said it.

If he didn't kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman, then it was someone with his DNA.
OJ was lucky in that he was a likable celebrity, he had the money to hire the best lawyers around to represent him, the prosecution fricked up a bunch of things, things were tense racially in L.A. after Rodney King and the key piece of evidence against him was found by a straight-up racist.

That's A serious reach there... You sound like him killing himself would have changed the world.. Or even this country..

He would have been forgotten about within a few months.. But the TRIAL did NOT change anything .....

Oh, it did change this country. It changed the media for good. Him being forgotten immediately would have been a great thing. All people would remember OJ for was being a seemingly nice celebrity who was deep down an insecure pussy, and then we'd move on.

It would have never gotten to a racial dividing point for everyone in the country. It's without question the most significant murder trial in US history. The media escalated it as high as possible for the ratings despite risking mass riots and additional deaths in the US if OJ were pronounced guilty. The media learned this from the Simpson trial. The Kardashians learned this from the Simpson trial. Trump learned this from the Simpson trial. And Trump used the lessons from that trial to increase his brand recognition and play the media like a fiddle when he ran for the office. I don't think Trump would have gotten within sniffing distance of the Oval Office if his former friend had killed himself that day.

I mean, the Butterfly Effect, so yeah, I'd say its feasible. Diana may have still been alive. It affected enough people's day to day operations. Is she directly connected to him, no, but the Butterfly Effect does make this a possibility.

Reality TV is directly tied to OJ. There was only the Real World before his trial. Networks were wanting another one that could encapsulate the entire country, so they did Survivor, American Idol, Keeping up with the Kardashians, and the Apprentice. And OJ and Trump were friends. There are bizarre ties to these two stories with them being emotional roller coasters.

I've listened to literally all of the Howard Stern tapes on the Simpson trial when there were compilations on YouTube and have extensively looked looked into many other sources. For someone my age, I think I'm very well educated on the topic. Simpson's trial really is a fascination for me on how it occurred and how it affected the country at large.

Still, the Howard Stern tapes are probably the single best compilation on what was going through the heads in people at the time. No one was more vicious towards Simpson than he was. That man really, really hated OJ Simpson. I do remember the day of the verdict though, because my mom continually screamed around the house pissed off that OJ got off.

I met and spoke with the LAPD Detective and SWAT officers who are seen in the helicopter video negotiating with OJ while he is in the back of the Bronco in the driveway. They told me flat out that OJ made direct statements that he committed the crime. The statements were ruled inadmissible in court as they were Pre-Miranda and the interview was deemed custodial in that he wasn't free to leave at that point. Legally the ruling is a crock of crap but it held up back then.

Simpson is a near Hitler level that you'd debate in your head about going back in time to murder yourself.

No.

At the end of the day, Simpson killed his triflin' ex and her lover in a fit of passion.

Happens every single day ... and if you kill him before these murders, we don't get the single-greatest made-for-TV event of our lives.

I'd personally go back in time and gladly kill OJ before he killed his wife. The guy is a monster and its sickening I have to breathe the same air he does.

I keep on forgetting this twat's name, but yeah, I'd go back in time and kill him too. If you're an irredeemable monster, I don't really care about your will to live.

He definitely did it(or hired someone to do it) I think evidence was planted though.
