Well he didn't say when the person would be coming but they could get breakfast at French Press, a better restaurant than you'll find almost anywhere in America -- especially shitty arse Baton Rouge. Downtown Alive, Festival Acadien, Festival International, ride a little west and get pepperjack boudin balls at Billy's, Rhythms on the River in River Ranch, walk around at a tailgate for a Cajuns game, go to Deano's or Pizza Village, visit Vermilionville, Acadian Village, go to Avery Island nearby, visit Parish Brewery.

TL;DR - Lafayette/Acadiana is awesome, frick you.

I've lived in both and Lafayette wins going away. And I have wayyyyy more money in BR than I had in Lafayette.

Better food, better culture, better people, better infrastructure, better night life. I pray for the day I can transfer to Lafayette or work from home and move there.

Don't try to get them to move here. They will eventually hate you.

Depending on the weekend the gumbo cook off in New Iberia is legit. It's usually the weekend of the UF game but the game switched this year.
