The bill removes “first cousin from the list of familial relationships” defined as unlawful incest in Kentucky, the website explained. Incest would also be downgraded from a Class C felony to a Class D “unless it is committed with a person who is less than twelve years of age.” Kentucky law currently states that a person is guilty of incest if they have sex with any person known to be “his or her parent, child, grandparent, grandchild, great-grandparent, great-grandchild, uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, brother, sister, first cousin, ancestor, or descendent,” according to Newsweek.

Civil liberties aside, that’s a brave/stupid politician ready to die on a hill that nobody cared about except for degenerate mongoloids.

Odd way to tell your cousin you want to bang her. What happened to roses or a box of chocolates?

As is pretty common, Louisiana says to Kentucky, 'Hold my beer.' Because (apparently) it's already legal in Louisiana, no need for a road trip for your debauchery. Our statute does not include cousins in the prohibitions; it applies to:
La. Rev. Stat. 14:89 ( Legislature's website)
ETA
As is so often the case, there's an informative Wikipedia page. I can't vouch for its accuracy, and indeed a Louisiana law citation appears to be out-of-date, but it claims that first cousins are prohibited from ... spending the night together in only 9 or 10 states, and can marry each other in 19 states. To be clear, I'm not recommending it, just reporting.

The marriage to, or sexual intercourse with, any ascendant or descendant, brother or sister, uncle or niece, aunt or nephew, with knowledge of their relationship. The relationship must be by consanguinity [i.e. by blood, does not apply to in-laws and steps] ....

Whew! All these years I've been relying on the statute of limitations.

This entire story has been so twisted and misrepresented. The purpose of the bill is to expand incest laws. Currently, only intercourse is defined as incest. The bill adds other acts such as “sexual groping” to the definition of incest.
It also included, “uncles, stepdads or anyone with a familial relationship”, but the author claims first cousins was inadvertently omitted at some point in drafting the bill.
Maybe that’s a convenient excuse, and the whole purpose of the bill is a smokescreen to legalize cousin humping in the hollers of Kentucky, but it’s not uncommon to pull a bill because of incorrect language.
Oh, and the legislator that sponsored the bill won Survivor a few years ago.

Probably should exempt the homosexuals too,
if the only point is to prevent mongaloid offspring.

Kentucky had some prominent leaders in the 70s' for the future
DJT took the state and the smart folks left, the sheep stayed and this is whet you get

Ummmm, they have a liberal democrat Governor. Kentucky is all kinds of screwed up, but it isn’t DJT’s fault!!!

I mean, when they allow marriage between any sort of other weird combo, being against cousin marriage seems pretty damn stupid.
It was the norm through much of history
