Nissan. Rogue or Murano? I would take either.

I was actually pretty surprised at the level of design and refinement in those suckers. It's a cool looking car.

The obvious choice is the Lexus. It is also the most expensive of the 4 by about 20k. The GX is an fullsized SUV, where as the rest are much smaller.

Huh? The GX and Q7 both start around $50k-$51k. The GX is about $1500 more. The MDX starts around $44k, and the Volvo around $46k.

Lexus
Audi

Volvo/Acura

We just shopped in this range. That's a pretty large price range you are going for. Lexus was by far my favorite, but all those were a bit pricier than the Acura with comparable options. I felt like the Acura interior did not feel in the same class as the other "luxury" SUV's. Buttons and stuff looked cheap.

I've been looking at these for a few weeks now, even built out a spreadsheet to compare the different trims based on the features that are important to me. Price-wise, the Acura, Audi and Volvo models he posted are all in the same ballpark with one another. The Lexus posted isn't in my list as it's a larger vehicle than we're looking for. I've only seen the new Acura MDX in person but was very impressed with it inside and out. I'm hoping to look at the Audi and Volvo first-hand in the near future. As of now, the MDX is the leader in my search while the Lexus RX isn't far behind.....third row isn't really a need for me.

I've always loved Grand Cherokees like some are suggesting here, but the reliability ratings they get from Consumer Reports and others are keeping me away from them.

Pretty sure this doesn't have the 3rd row. You are looking mid 50's to get the same room. GX starts at 51, but you will be around 55 before you get equivalent. I'd say MDX is roughly 10k less than all the rest. But it shows. MDX doesn't even come with a spare tire...

For reference, we ended up with an Infiniti QX60. Wife like it the best and we got a great deal. I personally like all the others the OP listed from a style standpoint, although the interior of the QX was definitely nice. Didn't want to bite the extra 10k bullet to get the Lexus, but was pretty close to doing it. They really are nice.
