14k paid for like 3 or 4 degrees back in the day when boomers and gen x went to school.

So...how about a link that shows support to this asinine claim?

It's the manufactured, fake civil rights movement we're currently witnessing that I hold against them

At least my generation (younger Xers) knew we had it pretty good. We tried to get excited a couple times over the WTO, but it never caught on. None of this manufactured strife that's reappeared today, 40 years after any of it was a real problem.

The milennial generation has done exactly zero of those things.

The OP himself is raising "social awarenes" [sic] about the need for public schools to spend more time teaching spelling, grammar, and how to think.

Every generation thinks the one after theirs sucks. People don't remember how big frick ups they were when they were young and don't give the next generation slack considering they haven't been around long enough to have done much. Human beings are stupid, they always have been and always will be.

You cannot bring logic like this to the Millennials. They will not allow it. They will just ignore it while they sit around the table at Starbucks texting each other and not actually talking

Well it's not back in the day. They also didn't earn the amount of money we earn also. It's today. Humble yourself and go to a JUCO for two years

I agree. And the inverse is true as well.

As someone who is between those two generations, I have a question. What are you going to do with your basket weaving degree that you have $120k worth of student loan debt? Couldn't you have just taken your high school diploma, made the same money and not expect someone else to pay for that worthless degree?

After 6 years of college you will still be living with mom and dad with no ambition of actually working hard for something that you want.

I'm not trying to get down on the younger generation over cell phones and social media because my generation is just as bad, but reading the paper for 20 minutes in the morning isn't remotely comparable to devices today.

I do understand the point though, and I don't disagree.

four-year colleges and universities and also two-year community colleges. In 1970, the.
average yearly tuition was $358 for public four-year institutions and $1,561 for four-year.
private institutions.

I use the NY Times and WA. Post apps to read papers myself.

Although actually prefer hard copies to any devices when I'm reading anything if I get the chance. I had a kindle once and only read 1 or 2 books off of it. Just couldn't quite enjoy it as much.

You still don't need a college education for a good paying job. Mellinials are racking up college debt because they don't know what they want to do and end up going to school for 6-7 years. Because they don't want to work. They want to make as much or more as their parents at 22 that took the parents til they were 50 to get to.

Go to welding school.

And the cost of goods was much less and everyone made a lot less money.
