I just received a txt that I-10 is closed at the state line due to rising water. Can anyone confirm this?

According to the Google it is heavy red traveling west on 10

The Waze app has all lanes open

Waze comments have it attributed to taking pics of flooding and that you can only get to Vidor

I saw KPLC out of LC broadcasting from there this AM, I saw one lane getting through. Website is KPLCTV.com if you want to check it out.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was true with all the water being let out of the dam at toledo. It's been 5 or so days since they opened the gates...timing is about right.

Change to my last post. Different bridge. I-10 is closed at state line due to water over road.

It's open at the state line but closed once you get to Vidor. Checked an hour ago. It's bumper to bumper.

It has one lane open westbound at the state line and 5+ miles of traffic to get in. Gotta do an hour and a halfish detour(roundtrip) north to get back on I-10 once you get through. Eastbound is running fine with 2 open lanes, but again have to detour north around Beaumont and come in on highway 62.

We just made it through coming eastbound. Took a long ways, but better then going all the way up to 190 to cross and then back down to I-10.

Passing by Vinton now. Will update soon. I've heard there is rubbernecking at the line from people looking at water.

Open. Stop and go at state line. Lots of water to stare at. Heard it's dead stop by Beaumont. I'll know in 20.

I did Houston to New Orleans this past weekend. Went through Livingston, Jasper, Leesville, and Forest Hill to I-49, then hopped on 190 at Opelousas. Did reverse route coming back. I would recommend this route.
