Dude, I've watched this sort of poison destroy lives. Those siblings want you to have those feelings where you are not worthy. Bottom line, you gonna have to throw elbows on these people. Trust nobody and sell assets within family really high. You will always be the outsider so don't play by their rules.

Signed,
The Bastard Son

My sister is only 5 years older than me and she acts like she grew up in the depression. I exaggerate but I can definitely see where there could be tension with siblings 10+ years apart.

Or put a memorial to him on the land. Something you can go visit yourself to remember and don't let them on it.

That has to be Shitty, I couldn't imagine dealing with shite like that.

The people coming up with really angry acts of revenge are the people who do stuff like what the OP's sister did in the first place.

Honestly, I'd feel like shite, but gotta remember this. The old guy cared enough about you to take you in and raise you as his own.

The jealousy is from the siblings feeling as if they should be loved more than you because they're blood. frick them, just leave them and their childish antics and hug onto that piece of land. If they try to do some shite about it, sue the frick out of them and make their lives hell.

My vote is just don't talk to them again, and if they ever need your help in the future, don't help them whatsoever. They severed you from the family, so I'd just take the hint and tell them to frick off. I'm sure the time will come when they need him around, and when he's not there for them, maybe they'll realized doing something as fricked up as that may be the reason he's not helping them.

Your dad didn't write the inscription. That's your siblings hating on you. Let me guess you are more accomplished than they are???

Oh I'd be deeply hurt and it would certainly change if not completely destroy the relationship with my siblings but nothing good will come from getting back at them. You want to get back at her? Do nothing, wait a month, call her and tell her you love her (assuming you do). That shite will fester inside her and she might even change her ways unless she is complete scum.

That's insane to do that with someone who insults you in that way, and it seems to me that the other siblings aren't that much better, she's just the one leading the charge. As far as I'm concerned, that seems like the siblings have disowned their brother. If I was ever disowned for no reason, then I would instantly sever my ties with them as well. Don't do any payback (aside from if they ask for any financial help, in which case you tell them to eat shite), but you just never talk or hang with them again.

Serious question, is this a true story or is it a storyline from Game of Thrones or something?

Naw, Beaver was on to something. Even if the sister is as terrible as she sounds she's still family. My advice never sell the land but if they need something reasonable, do it for em and afterwards look em straight in the eye and say "that what family is for...dad taught me that" then drop the mic

They're dicks. You were probably the favorite and they know it. I hope you build a strip club on the land and name it "Daddy's Favorite".

Your father probably didn't think of you as anything other than his son. This sounds like petty sibling bullshite.

For some reason middle-aged siblings turn into huge assholes when their parents die. They wall want to think of themselves as more important, and they all want to believe that they deserve more than their lot in the inheritance.

Anyway, my uncle adopted his son and at first my uncle said he didn't have the same bond with his adopted son as he did his biological son, but once the adopted son made it to 10 or so then he said he doesn't feel any differently about his adopted son than he does his biological son. He actually seems to prefer his adopted son because he's a little more of a maverick. He actually hasn't told his kid that he was adopted yet which will be heart-breaking but hopefully you realize that just because you didn't get your DNA sequence from your father doesn't make you any less of a son.
