I want to start a grassroots effort to clean up the roads in Livingston

I just had to go to Walker. Took 63 and 423 and man the roads look like trash dumps. I don't know if everyone out there just dumps theri trash, but it made NOLA east look clean.
So lets do this
TD/OT day of service number one April 12th Livingston, La.
I'll underwrite it and provide the trucks, trailers, garbage bags and sticks. And a keg or two of beer (can you drink beer outside out there?)
(I'm serious. I think a day of service once a year for the OT would be cool)
I have no ties to LP and it was my first time out there.

The little town I am renting a house in does this 5 times a year. The entire community meets up and goes out cleaning up the roadsides. I am not a local but I participated.

I look at College Dr in Baton Rouge with trash, cigarette butts. Last week one dude picked up an old cigarette butt off the ground, took his lighter and lit up.

I'm glad you are trying to clean the place up, but Livingston Parish needs to be responsible for their own actions. Maybe you can call WBRZ to do a story on trashy roadways. Could be on to something there. Publicize it and make parish leaders embarrassed that they aren't doing their job.

I watched a women (dressed nicely) open the cig can and pick through the already smoked cigs. pick them out the sand and create a whole pack of shorts the other day.

Litter is a serious problem in LA. There is a direct correlation with people who litter and a lack of brain cells. LA has an abundace of dipshits.
