I almost got into a wreck once because a lane was ending and I pulled into said lane to cut off others from driving to the front. Idiot that was originally behind me pulled up beside me and I almost hit them when I tried to merge back over

I was several cars back, and if I had done it, I would have had to pull completely out of the left lane in order to block Bob. I might have lost my spot. John was up by where the right hand lane ended and the road was narrow enough so he just had to pull halfway out of his lane and blocked the shoulder.

If John is out his lane then he's in the wrong. Bob is a dick but if he had a full lane to merge from then he has the right to ride it to the end .

I wouldn't have gotten out of my car.....but I'm in Texas.....Oregon is full of peace lovers.....The other thing is everything I read says studies have shown doing what Bob did is the most efficient use of lanes.....but that assumes everyone takes turns letting each other in.

That zipper shite doesn't work when you have traffic going 60, and some asshat has a panic attack and completely stops on the entrance ramp

Ugh. It drives me crazy that people don't understand they are supposed to keep using BOTH lanes until the actual merge point, then merge 1 car after the other. I swear it's a Louisiana thing as it seems no one knows the proper method there.
