I can just work a couple of hours extra in this nice air-conditioned office of mine and make the $ they are saving by camping out.

I make that in less than a full work day.

We did this in grad school, pulled an all nighter studying in line and had tears worth of food, it was actually 52 of there little business card things, so you could use them whenever you wanted. Ate like kings that semester.

Couple of clarifications:

1) You don't wait 3 days...you get there by 6am the day before it opens and if there are more than 100 people everyone enters a raffle and the 100 chosen can then stay for 24 hours and get guaranteed food.

2) The meals are a combo and you get 52 free ones. You don't have to go every week.

I've never been but my roommate did it any time one opened around ATL(a lot) and he always had a stack of those cards. He said it was fun if you went with the right group

those morons were there last night.

So that's 3 missed days of work to save $364 for the year. That's $121.33 saved per missed day of work. Multiply by 5 days in the week and 52 days in the year.

So unless you make less than $32,000 in a year, this is a fricking stupid decision.

take one day off means taking a vacation day or ~ $200 in lost wages

52 CFA meals at $8/meal = $425

I saw the same thing this morning and didn't bother with a pic or question about what the frick they were doing because I figured I'd find out on here or the F&DB today.

Absolutely Crazy.

Okay, so a meal is about $5.....so a free meal for every week over the next 12 months is about $260- maybe up to $400 depending on the meal price.

Not worth it unless you are a high school kid who likes camping and has the time.
