They are saying most of the water will be around for 4-5 weeks bro. I'd imaging it will be closed for a bit.

I-10 around and past Winnie looked like lake Conroe or Rayburn with a 30-40mph wind. White caps and chop.

Last I heard, if you can get to 105, 105 will get you to Conroe. But rivers are cresting up north?

I-10 is gonna be longer than you may want to wait. You're gonna probably have to be creative.

that map is a great resource. Thanks

According to it, most of I10 is expected to open up by 09/01.

We will see if that happens....

No problem. Just FYI, most if not all state DOTs now maintain traveler advisory (511) sites these days. Just google [your state] 511 and you should be able to find what you need.

The LA 511 site (la511.org) saved my arse last year during the floods. I was driving from CO to visit my dad in Mandeville and would have ended up right in the middle of that mess on I-12 had it not been for that site. Instead I went through Jackson which only added a few hours to the trip.

Sulphur never got bad. Only a few roads closed for a little while back on Sunday and Monday but it really didn't rain much here the last few days.
