Take possession of the ashes until you get your money back.

Well you're already a methhead on paper, I'd suggest just leaving it alone to preserve what little decent reputation you have left. Good luck

If they don't pay you back, be sure to let them know just how shitty they are as people.

You "gave" the money with good intentions...leave it at that.

Let God deal with the rest.

so I took the funeral home info and called and it was $3000 for cremation + 2 services. I paid for it no biggie I wanted to help out and it wasn't a ton of money.

If it was truly "no biggie", why are you upset?

I feel like all your posts involve you losing big chunks of money. What's the deal, bro?

To the OP, props to you for being a stand up guy. I find that the fewer strings attached with these sort of deals, the better. Just shrug it off and move on. Nothing good will come out of it if you start trying to expect certain behaviors out of others in exchange for kindness.

Hell, be glad you're alive.

This can be the defining moment in your relationship with the family. Go over there and whip whoever's arse it is that started the Go Fund Me thing. Then frick the grandma to establish dominance.

This is a very big step. Otherwise they'll be calling you Michelle at all family events when your name is actually Michael.

Seen this happen too many times.

You did a generous thing for a person in need with no expectation of reimbursement. Chances are, if these people are trash, they were going to find a way to exploit this death for their own personal gain.

I'd just move on and ignore them.

Donate $1 to the gofundme. Leave comment that you already paid the funeral home for the services and ask what the money raised will go to.

sadly cosmo she got a tick bite and was misdiagnosed for a while at just having the flu. She ended up in the ICU for 2 weeks, they amputated toes, fingers, etc but eventually her organs shut down and she died.

Honestly I have no idea exactly what it was, it was from a tick bite though. Im not sure if caught earlier if it could have been stopped but the poor girl kept being sent home they kept telling her it was the flu or whatnot. Just fever and aches were symptoms then all of a sudden she had a heart attack and stroke and was in the ICU ever since till sunday night.

This is the most horrible thing I have read today. Did they have any kids? M
