Does it burp when draining? If yes, check your roof vent.

Just got done doing this.

Pick this up at HD or Lowes for $2.00.

Stuck it down in there and pulled up a nauseating wad of hair and shite.

Cram as much baking soda as you can in the drain. Then pour vinegar in. Let it sit for a half hour and then pour boiling hot water down the drain.

COSIGN.

Have you tried a plunger? Worked for me last time.

I totally saw that coming, but did not have anything witty to post to get out in front of it. I will be better prepared next time.

For now, I don't even care of they boned. I just want my shower working so that I can get back to listening to my jazz and jerking it.

Pour a 2 liter coke in it and let it sit overnight. Flush with hot water the next morning.

$40 on Amazon. Your problem will be solved forever. (well until you need to use it again in 6-9 months, but its cheap to use)

It could be caused by a vacuum in your drain.

In my other house the master bath shower did the same thing; I used a plunger and it cleared right up. I would happen from time to time but the fix was easy.

Don't think a plunger will seal on my tile. We used that drain clear device somewhere before. I forgot about that. Definitely works.

Seriously KG6...most of that chemical stuff is hard on your plumbing and not particularly effective...avoid it when possible.

Your wife is cute when she giggles.

Is this a standalone shower or a shower/tub combo? If it is a tub as well, take off the cover on the overflow drain and run a snake down that as well. Sometimes they clog where the pipes connect and it can be hard to clear out going just from the main drain. Had that issue on my upstairs tub/shower a few years ago. Ran the snake down the overflow and pulled out a small hairy clog, then flushed the whole thing with baking soda/salt and vinegar. Equal parts baking soda and salt down the drain, as much as you can pack in, and then an equal amount of vinegar. Let it sit at least 30 minutes then flush with a whole big pot of almost boiling water.

The little red zip thing worked great on my showers it is nasty to do because it brought up rat sized hair balls but def cleared the drain.

You turn it over and screw it in sort of backwards so that it is a small hole going into your drain. Not the large plunger type suction cup.
