Yeah you right - northern Cali, the northwest, heartland, mid west, great lake states so on, are armed to the teeth - not just us southern folks.

Our northern and southern borders have vast areas of nothing. Out west has a huge mountain chain. East is ridiculously guarded. The Gulf is like shooting fish in a barrel

I don't think you understand just how well armed AZ is. Hell, their gun industry is probably one of the biggest in the country.

Seriously, go to Pennsylvania and tell me they don't love guns as much as the average Mississippian. Any redneck who would ask this question really needs to leave the South for once in their life.

Dude ive been to PA from pitt/greensburg to Philly. Im not disagreeing with you. Even further proves my point. A US invasion would result in total anihilation of said invaders.

Haven't read the whole thread but if an enemy detonated a nuke over us creating an EMP that knocks out all or a significant portion of the power grids and anything else electrical....a large portion of the populace would kill each other quickly in food and water wars. Any military and police force would be dedicated to keeping any shred of government and order going.

Then that enemy could invade within a month and have an easier time. I don't know if it'd be successful but it's better than just herp derp invading. Of course they'd have to make it past our navy which would be no small feat.

In conclusion, it'd be pretty damn hard.

I'm just verifying your point. Some idiot thinks that the western border of Texas would stop them, when I think that's where they can pretty much do the most damage in the US. Mass plains with just tumbleweed. Don't need to worry about forests or mountains or bridges being blown up. Sure the populace is armed, but much more sparsely so and they'd be anihilated a good thousand miles before reaching West Texas.

Would Midland Texas really stand a much better chance against an army than 15 million people in the LA area? No, I don't think so.

The War 1812 brah

A modern day invasion would be nearly impossible unless something happened to cripple our defensive capabilities. And even if Russia or China successfully invaded us, it would be a even more hellish version of the Middle East. 300 million potential resistance fighter plus allies in Mexico and Canada.

Not even AZ. If you get outside of the big cities in CA, WA, and OR there are a ton of guns. The folks out in the west coast countryside alone would stop and invading army.

Why do threads like this always get so much traction. We'll invent time travel before someone successfully invades the US

Trying to fight off American resistance fighters in the Rockies would be a massive failure. It would be best for them to travel through the desert and avoid Texas. Texas and the entire southeast would be total hell for the occupying country

But where we they go, if not through Texas? Oklahoma? Nebraska. And then when they reach the Ozarks, what then? They're still screwed.

aside from our military advantage, it would be like trying to invade Saudi Arabia and Nepal combined. we have a very unique natural barrier to the interior of our country
