Ever since I was a barback at Paparazzi's (and other clubs) 27 years ago, I have a habit of scanning for money on the floor around bars, cash registers, etc. When I was a barback/bartender, I would find minimum $20 a night. The most I have ever found was over $600 on the floor of Pat O's first bar on the left, during Mardi Gras.

My 12 year old daughter has picked up the same habit. In the last two days, she has found a $20 at Macy's and $10 at Target.

I have found my own money a couple times in jacket pockets with the first cool snap. Pretty sure I've lost more cash than I've found

I live in Panama City BEach and I find money on the beach all the time. I found over a thousand dollars the other day just sitting on a beach blanket beside a cooler. I guess someone dropped it.

You would be surprised how much money people working at bars find. Just before last call, all the bartenders running around with flashlight, scanning under the bar, etc., before the lights come up.

I find a lot of money as well...but mostly coins 1's 5's. A few 20's. A lot of it in airports for some reason or parking lots.
So far nothing like what you have found....it amazes me what people miss or don't pay attention to.

That $600 was a fluke. Other then that, I've found $100 a few times, but mostly $1-$20. It's usually in clumps. Some drunk guy with all his loose money in his front pocket, reaches in to pull out some money and simply pulls the rest out with it, all hitting the ground.

Rarely but the one good score was over $300 and the best part was it was lost by a Florida Gator WR coach. We were staying at the Gator team hotel the night before the game and the wif spotted an envelope in the parking lot. It had the cash and the voter ID card of the coach. We beat the Gators. I mailed him the cash back and pointed out how badly his team had played and threw in a few Geaux Tigers! It was pretty fun, well worth the cost of being honest. He mailed me a football signed by all the coaches and a few of their star players and told me it was worth more than the money. They were all looking for work a few weeks later, so no.

Aside from that I've not found much.

if you find paper money you should ask everyone around to see whose it is. If noone claims it, then you should donate it to charity.

Was in Myrtle Beach many yrs ago with some friends riding down the strip. We got stuck in the traffic that always ends up congested in that area and while stopped we saw something on the road right around our car blowing in the breeze. It was honestly as if nobody saw this but us. We jumped out when we realized (rather quickly) exactly what it was that was blowing around the road...cold, hard cash. Grabbed as much as we could before others caught on and joined in and we hopped back in the car. When we counted the total amt that we'd all collected together, it was $580. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly that evening.

I knew all the places drunk people would leave money for me. Our outside bar had a parking space bumper beneath it. Would regularly find 20s people had dropped down there

Tons of coins too. I think drunk people hate quarters

I found $50 once in Audubon Park.

One time I was washing clothes and I pulled out $400 in 20's and 50's. I had no recollection of how it got there, but I was dealing in those days so it probably came from some dope deal.

Once about 20 years ago, I found a $20 bill in a store parking lot around Christmas. Two days ago I found a $10 bill in the gutter of a neighborhood street while I was walking my dog. In between then and now, ain't found much.
